First post - ordered new black special edition silver/black - sorry, no more available - Ok 1.6 with extras? persuaded to go for SE with all the bits except sat nav. Hooray - wife collects car friday last, at 9.30 - sob roof stays down at 10 o'clock - back to garage - fixed? then at 5pm roof wont open. Back to garage - oops! Please take our 206cc demonstrator for as long as this takes.....Garage being very helpful, but not the best start for my wife's CC ownership - Question is...How many failures/repairs before I can reject the car, or should I do it right away and start again.
thanks in advance
Steve

Me and my other half brought a 206 about a month ago and since then the car has been back everyweek. With problems from the Roof leaking 5 times, and everytime they never seem to fix it! Last week the weather was so hot we had the roof down and went to put it up and it wouldn't, the alarm was going everytime you drove it. We couldn't believe it. We have actually just got it back from the Gear Box going, and now it seems to be fine until the next time though!! I dont know what to do, what our rights are if we want to give it back. Any suggestions?

My advice is put it in writing, I have posted a link on another of my posts, this link will take you to it.

http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/phpBB/vie ... 62&forum=1

It contains all sorts of legal info web pages. Look on the trading standards for Burton On Trent, they have a standard type letter that you can use.

Fill this in and send it to your garage, send it RECORDED DELIVERY, as they may claim they have not had it. Make sure that you know how many miles it has on the car. Maybe worth a trip to the dealer to look. Claim you think you left something in the car.

Then sit back and wait. Dont wait too long, Iwould say 7 days, I think it mentions a dead line time in the letter template, if not add in that you want a resolution within 7 days.

Any more questions dont hesitate to ask.

did that make any sense ????
