Hi I am new here , just thinking of getting a square plate for the front like the jap plates. Would it be ok to buy one and put it on , I am thinking people could think I am stupid as a Peugeot is a French car and I am putting a square plate which is on Japanese cars. What do ye think lads good or bad idea ?

Re: Side Square Number Plate
Not for me, but if you want to do it you can. Just make sure plate is legal & UK sized

Don't expect to get in any ANPR controlled car parks. Alfa have offset plates and they are a PITA.

Re: Side Square Number Plate
Personally I always considered the square offset plate thing a JDM application. Typically where you see it as a mod it looks poorly executed with floppy, lopsided plates at weird angles across the bumper and it doesnt look right.
On a pug 206 I cant see that it'd be doable without obstructive either airflow through the grill or one of the lights. Even on that Miata / MX5 it's obstructing the grill a little and they dont have to worry about obscuring the fog light.

Personal opinion: don't bother ... doesn't suit the car at all

Bad idea. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The square plate offends the eye.
