Hello gang, My name is Harry Morris and ime a new boy here, What a new boy at 75 me thinks not, well ime a retarded errrr sorry retired engineer and I bought one of these little gems as a category " C " write off as it was going for scrap !!!! but hang on it had a bashed in N/S wing and front wheel and that was it, what a waste, the insurance company's realy need to get there act together this is just plain stupid.
So, I bought it and set about the nessarsary repairs, a second hand wing £18, Two undamaged front wheels, £65, Two new tyres £118 and I thought this is great and she looks great, so I thought ide get it up for sale with a brand new M O T, and then Madam stepped in, fell in love with it and flatly refused to let her go for sale and now we have a new baby boo hoo.
In my investigations I found the little car very well made, very sound and robust construction and as for that roof, well absolutely fantastic, so everyone it is my firm belief that we have a CLASSIC HERE make no bones about it this little vehicle is in a class all of its own so let's keep it that way and watch as their prices start to go up and up, that is my belief.
All cars have there problems and this little lady is no exception, if you are a lady owner, and I note we have quite a few here on this forum, if you want to do your weekly shop in it your gunna have to leave the roof UP, I put a full sized spare wheel in my boot so that's goodby to any shopping/luggage space, well me thinks I have waffled on enough, but seriously this little car is fantastic, cheers everyone, Harry.

I have a 125/80R15 spacesaver (from a 207) in my boot. It saves both space and weight. But you are right about the shopping - if you have a puncture and fit a spacesaver spare, you do need to put the punctured wheel in the boot.

I used to strap the spare wheel on the passenger seat behind the driver safely strapped in using the safety belt. All in a sturdy bag so that nothing got damaged. Ours was a space saver spare and this fitted under the wind deflector perfectly.
