You are on the Peugeot 206cc forum which is for 206cc owners. If your car is a 1.6 206cc then it has the twin cam engine.

If you don't know the difference I would recommend that you get a garage to do the job.

There is a "how to" guide for our engines here. http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11459

Welcome to the forum.

Which 206 model do you have spuggy? If it a hatchback then it is most probably the 8 valve single overhead camshaft 1587cc petrol engine.

Aha! That answers the question.

If you do intend to do jobs on your car yourself you may want to do as I did. Haynes manual 4613 covers the 206 but not the 16v 1.6 engine. The 207 used the 1.6 DOHC 16v engine designated TU5JP4. Between them the two manuals cover most jobs on our 05 reg 206cc 1.6.

One of my daughters has a 207 so both Haynes manuals get well used by me.

The Haynes manual for the 207 is 4787.

The cam belt cover is missing from my engine which leads to concerns on what type of mechanic had previously worked on it.
