I have a 04 plate peugeot 206cc which has done 60k miles. I have no history of when the last cam belt was replaced so thought I'd ring around and get a quote as well as a full service. I've been told by the reliable garage I use for a full service and a new cam belt this would be £290. Does this sound about right? I have no idea wether this is cheap or expensive!
Also, at the moment I am finding when I pull off in 1st gear (and 2nd sometimes) after my car has been stood for a few hours it doesn't feel like it's pulling off properly, then it jolts and makes a clunking noise which sounds like it's from the front of the car but then drives perfectly normal after this. It literally only lasts a few seconds but is annoying and Embarrasing when I can't pull off properly!
a mechanic I know suggested it could be the plugs? Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.Thanks
