My 1999 1.4 lx 206 petrol has now started showing the battery light. Most of the time it gets dimmer the more revs I put on.
The last time this happened I tightened the battery terminals. This time it is not helping.
Any ideas plz

Re: Battery lights comes on but fades with revs
How many miles has the car done? 100,000 or more and my money would be on the alternator.
You could try replacing just the alternator brushes:

but personally I would get an exchange alternator and fit it. Make sure you make a note of the run of the alternator belt before you start. A quick photo taken before you start dismantling, to refer to, can help. If the belt looks worn or hasn't been replaced then it is a good idea to fit a new one on reassembly.
