multi display-help please

Post by maisey56 »

hi, i have just started to have a picture of the car appear on the multi display screen, i first get an audible warning and then the picture appears and is gone in a flash...i can see that it shows the boot area to be cloured in...i cannot deploy the roof. i have looked in the handbook and cannot find this 'warning message'.
i know the roof worked last year...i only bought the car last August, it is a 2003 model. any help will be greatfully received
thanks
Thanks, all the best, Marsly

Your car thinks the bootlid is open. It's either not closed properly or the switch is faulty.
Cheers Col.

hi
thanks for your prompt response. the car is a 2003 model, 1.6 engine, it has done 74000 miles (has a full service history). i have just replaced the window switch (the audible warning/graphic began on Saturday and i have only just managed to locate and change the window switch) today. i have checked the boot and it is closed...when you say switch do you mean sensor? i can only open the boot when using the key, so there is no switch for the boot. or do you mean the switch for the roof???
Thanks, all the best, Marsly

Capn means the microswitch in the boot. See http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12945

hi, many thanks. i love my little 'mid-life crisis/early retirement pressie to my self', but i think it cries everytime i get in it! is this micro switch something i can sort myself or does it need specialist help to confirm and sort? i have just had to replace passenger door mirror (broken when i bought it), the battery and window switch.
thanks

hi Thar, sorry i only just noticed the link in your response. i know this is a stupid question, but..... do i assume it is micro switch 'f'.'....boot closed' that is at fault? also, i have looked at the repair guide and the 'roof' section but cannot locate any info regarding replacing the micro switches... :)
Thanks, all the best, Marsly
