Boot sensor problems - HELP

Boot sensor problems - HELP

I have a peugeot 206 cc and the boot sensor says boot is open when it is closed.

Does anyone know how I can fix this myself? Please bear in mind I know nothing about cars can someone talk me through it? An idiots guide?
