Bonjour from France

Post by JennyInBurgundy »

Hi everyone

You have a great forum here and I'm sure it'll be useful in the event of any problems. Got the car last week, just in time to enjoy the first hot day of the year décapotable, took me back a few years to when I had MGs. He's black and dressed in red and black leather with integral GPS and DAC and is an HDI sport, diesel's much cheaper here than petrol by 20 cents a litre. I've called him Bertie (and yes it's a boy!) because he looks like a liquorice all sort.

My other Pug is a 306 1.9D with 320k kilometers and is 19 years old, still going strong, but one could say he has now suffers from a wardrobe malfunction...

Enjoy the summer.

Hi Jenny & welcome. I notice you hardly see petrol cars in France. Are you French or an ex Pat?
Cheers Col.

Does that mean his exhaust is hanging out/off?!? :big-grin:

Welcome anyway. Re Col's question, I'd be interested to compare how the 206 CC is supported in its native country. Is there a French forum, and if so what is it's bias: technical support/styling modifications/meetings?

Thanks guys for your welcome. I'm English and have lived here for 6 years. Yes, diesel is by far the most popular choice of fuel and I wouldn't buy a petrol car again, although they are obviously cheaper. No, his exhaust isn't hanging off, it's a nice new one, but his body is very flaky and beyond the scope of Autoglym. Speaking of which I've just ordered a large shipment from the UK of Autoglym and Meguirs products as I haven't found anything decent over here.

Yes, there is an French International site that also has an English section that you may wish to look at. www.206cclovers.com. I've not explored it as yet...

Another topless day.
