Hello - 9yrs old n still FUN!

Post by favoloso8 »

Hi - what a helpful site! :)

Was looking for tyre pressure info - which I found here, thanks - and then thought I'd join in. Got my lovely blue Allure almost 9yrs ago and it's been great, no serious problems just the usual exhaust, brakes, tyres stuff. It's low 54000 mileage and basically I'd like to keep it going as long as there are no huge bills, so wondered whether there was anything I should think about doing to keep it going well?

Also, little niggle - sporadic Airbag deactivation warning comes on, often goes off if I turn the ignition on and off again. Used to be now and again but seems more frequent, Peugeot garage said they'd need to see it (but didn't) or would need to use diagnostics but min£50 charge and they may not find anything. Any advice welcome pls.

Just waiting for some sunshine to get that roof down again!

Thank you

please read the threads on battery age related faults, Airbag is one of the usual suspects when battery is starting to fail

Our airbag light used to come on occasionally a few years back. A wiggle of the wires under the driver's seat used to sort it. Never any problems recently though.
