Roof jammed halfway
I opened the roof half way and left it like that for half hour as I was repairing a leak (my seats and carpet are soaked from rain water getting in so I got a tube of sealant to fill in the gap where the roof rubber meets with the front of the car. I didn't want to glue the roof closed permanently so that's why I left it open for a while However by doing this I messed up the sensors and it wouldn't open or close anymore. It would only beep when I tried to close it. I had to pay a peugeot dealer £47 to reset the system. I had to drive for miles to my nearest dealer with the roof open in January and when I arrived I was frozen. Fortunately it wasn't raining but the other drivers must have fault I was crazy. I am too scared to open the roof anymore. My question is does anyone know how to reset the system in case this ever happens again? I have read a few posts and I gather that there are at least 11 sensors and you shouldn't turn off the ignition or change the diffection your roof is going in in mid flow but just in case it jams again or I have to do another repair could someone please tell me how to reset the system to spare me going through all this again and having to take half a morning off work after trying to get some sleep knowing that I my car had only a plastic cover to protect it from Buglars and the rain. Many thanks.
