see that link same bloody thing happening to me and driving me insane, changed brake pads last week even though old ones were virtually brand new and still the same and brakes wont stop squealing either

ideas? drives me insane driving along and squeak squeak

What pads have you used? Europart ones seem prone to squeaks.

aye euro car parts but were squealing before changed them

what worries me more is that bloody squeak squeak squeak

if turn the wheel either way just slightly it will stop or touch the brake but comes back again, so damn annoying lol

Sounds like you have a sticking caliper. Take it apart again and grease the sliding pins with copper grease and see if that helps

yea my first thoughts but when changing the pads didnt appear to be sticking, went over a speed bump this morning and the squeak got worse and louder but soon as i hit the brake pedal again just stopped and carried on as normal soooooooo annoying

whats the price on calipers these days? think i better sit down

not had chance to lift them up and check yet, but only starts after using the brakes for the first time on any journey which would inidicate a brake problem.

im leaning towards sticky calipers

Did you coat the backs of the pads with copperslip? That usually helps.

yup put copperslip on the back of them, driving me insane mote next month so will ask them to check
