As you can see in this video, I have a problem with my daughters car, when she tries to open the roof, it stops halfway, and makes a beep.
She then can close the roof again, no problem.
But if she instead of closing the roof again tries to let go of the button and then pull the button again to try to continue the opening, the roofs stops completely and the only way to go on, is to close the roof manually, there is no way to open or close with the button.
Do some of you have some good ideas ??

Re: Roof opening problem WITH VIDEO
Hi Hornung,
All the information to the ECU is supplied through the 11 micro-switches, telling the motor when to start or stop and at what point in the opening/closing sequence the roof is at. Chances are one of these switches is possibly in the wrong position or faulty telling the ECU that at the halfway point its completed its sequence and is fully open. Unfortunately there's no easy way around this other than to check each switch individually to make sure they're firstly manually switching, secondly they're electrically switching and thirdly they're switching at the right time.

Re: Roof opening problem WITH VIDEO
Thanks for your answers, yesterday I looked at almost every switch and found out that the "retractable roof closed switch" was stucked. So after a little "massage" of the switch the roof is back to normal. My daughter is happy again.

Re: Roof opening problem WITH VIDEO
If you look at the video in "Peugeot 206 cc roof operation in detail" the switch that was my problem is described from 7.13 to 7.25, called the "Roof closed contacter". The little white thing on the contacter was stuck inside the blue rubber on the switch, that is only possible to see when the roof is open (my was only half open, but that was enough), with closed roof the switch is pushed in, and therefore it is impossible to see that it is stuck. I touched it a few times, and the white thing popped out again, and the switch had the nice clicking noice like normal. Hope this helps.
