How easy is it to fit a replacement roof latch part on the drivers side and is it something you can do yourself? If not, who would be the best person to fit it...... mechanic or an electrician.
Thanks in advance
Ellie

Re: Replacement roof latch
Hello Ellie. If your roof catch has snapped then you could buy a new one from your Peugeot main dealer.
If you want to fit it yourself you will need to unclip the inner trim panel from the roof panel, releasing it from the roof locking catch.
This should reveal 4 retaining screws of the Torx type. You will need the appropriate size Torx screw driver to undo them. The catch can then be removed from the roof panel.
Refitting is a reversal of removal.
Haynes Workshop manual no. 4613 for the Peugeot 206 contains some illustrations on pages 11.36 and 11.37, so if you can buy or borrow one of those it might help you.
If you are not confident of doing it yourself then a local Peugeot independent specialist or Peugeot main dealer should be able to quote for the job, which should only take them a few minutes to carry out. So their labour charge ought to be modest. I don't know where any are in Cyprus so it is difficult to recommend a garage for you.
There are no electrics involved, so I would expect a mechanic to do the work (or are they called technicians these days). Your REME chap ought to be able to do it if you can get the new part from Peugeot.
Best of luck, and let us know how you get on, or if you have any further queries.
