hi everyone, my wife has recently purchased a black 52 reg 1.6 and absolutely loves it. runs superb and apart from having to have the comm 2000 unit replaced it appears a good buy. When we went out in it the other day, she put the roof down but used the window controls to wind down windows and then used roof button to put roof down which all worked ok.
I asked her if this is how she normally does this, and she said that if she just uses the roof button the windows dont wind down but roof still comes down okay. is this normal or is there something amiss here. advice much appreciated . thanks

Re: new owner with roof problem
We have a 2005 05 1.6 Allure 206cc. When we put the roof down using the roof switch the windows come down first and then the roof goes down. There is a chime at the end to indicate that the procedure has finished. After that if you want the windows back up then you put them up using the window switches. Similarly when putting the roof up.
I don't know whether earlier models were any different.

If it ain't broke...I don't think this is the "normal" way but if your wife is used to operating the roof that way and it works, I wouldn't worry
