I have a 206cc 2000 model 2.0L SE. The speedometer does not function although the mileage counter works.
My local garage has suggested that this is probably a speedometer problem and not a loose wire etc. They have recommended a Company called BBA repairs in Kent, who have advised that this can be repaired for around £75 + VAT and carriage.
The questions I have for everyone are:-
1. Please advise how I remove the existing speedometer display.
2. BBA have advised that if I have the 'one plug' type display the 'BSI' which powers the dashboard is also required by them. Can anyone advise if I am likely to have the 'BSI' one plug arrangement they are refering to and if so how do I access and remove it etc.
Does anyone know of anyone who are more local to me in the Slough area that may be able to assist with the repair to the speedometer. Kent is a bit of a trip for me.
Your help would be very greatly appreciated.
