Hi x8cla and welcome to the forum!

This link can tell you about the differences in specs. I have a 53 Allure which has slightly different spec to the 54 models I believe. http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/ca ... 81998-%29/

Lucky other half! :)

I'm not well up on retail prices to be honest. I would have a look at what similar cars are going for in Autotrader, Loot etc. You can get a free Glasses valuation here http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/offers-financ ... y-car.html This is really for trade-in values, but it can give you an idea.

I bought the first one I saw, after seeing many many others that were in bad or rank condition. There was one in a dealers in chatam emailed me saying it was spotless, I got there and looked when it had been on forecourt for 2 weeks, was the filthiest car I have seen.

I noticed in my search around and I did alot of searching last March even 2001 with 40k-50k were asking £4'000, I got mine down to £3'400 as it need a little work.

Probably no help, but as they say, "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay"
Good luck
