I noticed after a few days of heavy rain that my wifes 2002 206cc 2.0 had a very wet drivers floor, I dried it off & after removing the seat & stripping the carpet back to look for a leak the only place i could find water coming in was down the channel of the rubber door seal the water comes down & sits in a puddle inside the door in the groove in the door seal them runs down into the carpet, I tried silicon grease but this has not fixed the problem, I have noticed that the door is badly aligned, If i look at the passenger door it is perfect & no water gets in but when i looked at the drivers side the door sits about 3mm high i can only see this when i check the door against the rear & front wing, Does anyone think this could be the cause & if so i assume i can adjust the door by loosening the door hinge and lowering to the correct height then i assume i will have to raise the window a few mm to put it back to the correct height.
If anyone has had the same problem could you let me know how you fixed it & if a miss aligned door was the cause.
