Just wonering if anyone has a noisy suspension. I have asked the dealer to look at this and he says thats the way it is!!

It is noisy when you move off, brake or stop the car.

some people may defend the monkeys at belmont but i have long term experience of their workmanship and i could get done for animal cruelty by comparing them to real monkeys

I take it that feeding the monkeys does not help with finding a solution.

In youre view is this correct, and if not should I try the one at Bathgate.

jason,

in short there isn't a decent peugeot dealer around here to be honest.

belmont peugeot (edinburgh): DON'T feed the monkeys

motorway cars (bathgate): often use them for servicing as they are often cheaper but when they gave my last 206LX it's 20k service i soon after found out that the front brake pads on one side were falling to bits but they never spotted it - don't know if i will use them again.

arnold clark (tollcross edinburgh): i expect much better service from them now after rejecting my 1st CC but wouldn't recommend their service dept incase someone got the service that i initially got.

abercromby (halbeath dunfermline): used them for servicing during 1996/7 for a 106 i bought there and they were excellent. personal experience of their sales dept last summer when i was ordering a CC mertited a brick through their showroom window.

so all in, not much to pick from. maybe you just need to hope that a baby monkey operates on your CC so they haven't grown to be as useless as the adult monkeys

derek

my CC doesn't squeak apart from the brakes sometimes that like to squeal sometimes.

my 1st CC did have a kind of squeaking noise coming from the engine if you left it with the engine running but you had to listen carefully - which i did.

they did actually fix it although i don't remember what was wrong as there were so many things wrong with it.

don't feed a lion to the monkeys, just take it in on a lead to see if it scares them

Hi,

Squekie suspension is now fixed at last!!

However, they re-aligned the door (so it looks crap from the outside) and the passenger window still rattles after 5 mins on the A71!!

Going to call them again tomoz for another appointment next week (number 8 in 4 weeks). How long do I have to withstand this before going mad or rejecting it! How do u reject a car from Jam Jar!!!

PS - Is your car the blue 206CC???

mines is silver jason - see owner 135 but it has lexus lights now and chrome hoops on the way and colour coded black trims a bit further away

don't go on the M9 at newbridge - that really encourages rattles.

Very true.

In your humble opinion do i give them one final chance to fix this rattle window issue. And if it is not fixed how do I go about rejecting the car??

it's difficult to say with it being an import so i would maybe suggest making a post on the discussion forum specifically asking for help on rejecting an import.

my rejection wasn't too complicated really as my first visit for repairs was supposed to take around 2 hours but car ended up staying for 4 days and came back with the same faults plus many more.

i'll keep this short but the 2nd visit was also for repairs due to leaks along with the other faults. it came back worse and they were bluntly told they had one more chance to fix it or they could keep it.

they had it for around 4 weeks, mostly to wait on the parts - it wasn't right so i kept my promise. ended up negotiating a replacement for £300.

derek

p.s. fully financed replcement by arnold clark - not peugeot.
