hi everyone,

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a diagnostic tool for reading / resettings codes on my Mums 2001 206 hdi. She has engine management light on but car seems to drive fine apart from occasional slight loss of power when cold.

I have found quite a few tools ranging from eobd, obd and vag-com but have NO CLUE!

Please help...

Thanks :)

I was advised with these two websites:

www.gendan.co.uk

[s]www.talktomycar.co.uk[/s]

However on the 206 it is sometimes possible to clear errors by disconnecting the battery for a couple of days. But be aware if the Engine warning lamp is flashing then I beilieve the error is live and thus it is not advisable to keep starting the engine. If it just stays on then I believe the fault is not current and the fault requires a reset.

Edited due to poor experience with said company.
