Hi can anyone tell me where the ESP/ASR ecu is located. Not covered in the Haynes manual.
I want to check the connection as my warning light has come on or could it be a wheel sensor (ABS),
thanks

tis on the nsf in the very corner. wouldnt undo connector if i were you.tis easy to bend pins and get contaminted. prob a wheel sensor.bite the bullet and get a plug in and stop randomly guessing which is more than likely gonna cost you more in the long run..:)

Thanks for the info.
If its just a wheel sensor wouldn't the ABS show a fault as well ?
Thats why i thought it might be the ECU
Thanks CJ

Just been to the local Pug Indy & after much effort was told they can't access the fault codes for the ESP, they said they don't understand why they can't they have before, & that i need to go back to the main dealer ££££££££££££££££££££:yikes:

o.k is your car sayoing it has a esp fault or abs fault or both? the esp ecu is part of the abs ecu.
if there diagnostic kit isnt reading it would suggest abs has blown a fuse and isnt communicating. probably a maxi fuse under bm34. :)

HI
The ABS light does not stays on, the ESP triangle does stay lit & the display says
"ESP/ASR not functioning"
Does that help or make sense.

o.k i see. still say you got a fuse blown if they cant chat to abs unit which is the same as esp.or a wire rotted through? :)
other fault is a comm2000. it has a steering angle sensor for the esp to operate. :)

Hi
found another pug garage & this time the ECU reader worked
Came back saying brake pressure sensor fault.
The guy showed me where it is, bottom of brake master cylinder, & suggested its not to hard to change.
Had a look in the Haynes book but its not covered,
I can't see how its fitted, Screwed, push, or is it a part of the master cylinder, even my EPC is no help, must only cover the early models.
Have you changed one,
Again thanks for any info
