Hi Everyone

My girlfriend recently bought a 206cc and totally loves it. However it has just developed a fault and I have been given the job of trying to fix it :|

A few days ago when she started the car the alarm was sounding and couldnt be shut off so she drove it the short distance home with it on. Eventually the battery drained and it wouldnt charge so we thought ok the battery was the fault and bought a new one. All fitted and now the car is working ok, but now the horn wont work I checked the fuse and it was blown thinking it blew because of the alarm issue I replaced it but it just blows immediately tried 3 fuses.
I am assuming there is some sort of short somewhere or maybe the alarm is up the spout and causing the fuse to blow.
Is there anyway to disconnect the alarm as we are not to bothered about having it or is there an easier explanation, or is this fault related to the alarm issue at all.
Have the MOT in a month or so, so It has to be fixed.

Many many thanks

Hi Hungry Horace
Could you plse give the number of the fuse thats blowing and is it in the engin bay or under the dash? also does the fuse blow as soon as its fitted or when you press the horn?

What I looked for is a short on the horn or the wires to it.
at this moment I can't remember what else uses the fuse will update as soon as I can.

Hope this helps Steve.
