Exhaust knocking

Hi,

Ive used the search function, but cant seem to find an answer, probably just being stoopid.

Have had my CC bout 4 months now and in the last 2 months its developed a knocking sound from the exhaust which has got worse.

Took it to my local exhaust place, and when they had it on the ramp you could see that the back box bangs against the diagonal sub frame cross member.

The guy there said that the exhaust was fine, and that this was a common problem in these cars!

As its got worse recently , and wasnt there when i bought the car, i find this hard to believe!!

Has anyone else experienced this? If so what can be done?

I'm surprised they didn't adjust it for you. I take it that it is the standard exhaust system for the car.

I have the same problem with knocking that comes from the exhaust and again it did not happen when I first had the car. I turn up the radio now! I had mine checked and they could not find anything. So maybe it is a common problem.

Apparantly there was nothing to adjust, but i cant see how this could be, because it didnt happen when we bout the car in march?!

One of the grease monkeys suggested I get pug to bend the crossmember!! Hmmm!
