Query about Roof

When pulling back the flaps ( ooh eer ) or whatever they are called to get the roof ready to come down ( cue warning noise )

I noticed for the first time near wher the black spring is that there is a black screw - it is in the middle of the plastic - thing is - either side of the plastic looks like it has cracked - checked the opposite side and that looks similar.

If nobody knows what I am going on about - I could post a pic, unless anybody does know and can put my mind at rest

Just checked mine, and I have identicle "splits" of plastic either side of the black screw too.

just got my peg and 48 hours after i bought it the ram went in the roof leaving no automatic lift bill from peg for 525 pounds as there was no warrenty left on car
