These pop-up messages are the latest form of SPAM, you can stop these annoying message pop-ups by disabling your message service if you use Windows XP as follows:
1. Click start, then click on control panel
2. If not already done on the left hand side of the window click on 'Switch to classic view' - easier to find stuff this way
3. Double click on 'Administrative Tools'
4. Double click on 'Services'
5. From the list that then appears, scroll down and find 'Messenger'
6 . Double click this line.
7. From the window that then pops up, where it says 'startup type' - choose 'Manual' from the list of 2 alternatives
8. Finally click the 'Stop' button then click OK and close all windws.
These messages will then stop - as will any legit messages that you may receive from other software programs or administrative messages across a corporate LAN.
Hope this helps!!!!!

If your the broken record i guess that makes me the B side of it as i seem to have written GET A FIREWALL over and over again![]()
As mentioned lots of times before in this thread, it will stop the messages but your computer is still vulnerable to many other attacks!
Am I sounding like a broken record yet?

People can use your PC as a sort of bridge, say i hacked into your PC (your XP firewall is moe or less useless) then i use your PC to hack into a banks computer and transfer a load or money, while i'm off in the sun somewhere you'll be keeping a knock on the door from CID, but hey its your risk if you still don't want to get a firewall that's up to you
