May be a bit too far away for us actually but I normally go to a Grasstrack Motorcycle race day (Speedway/Firework night/ BBQ food/ lots of alcohol/ car get's stuck in mud Silverstone-style) in Tonbridge (Kent) Very popular and lots to do
