Just to recap,my air bag warning light used to come on intermittently but is now permanently on and my seat belt warning light does not work.Had diagnostic done which came up open circuit on seatbelt circuit passenger side. This must also affects the seatbelt warning light circuit. I have already done some wire tracing as the connection can be on the stalk side or the pretensioner side.Mine is the later. The green plug under the seat has thee wires ,on the side that goes under the carpet are two yellow wires and a yellow/green,presumably earth. The other side of the plug has a blue wire,a brown wire and the yellow and green which disappears into the bottom of the seat.
I had already replaced the green plug with soldered joints before the test so the fault must be in the pretensioner circuit. Why three wires? Is one associated with seat occupancy? The common fix for this common problem is to solder a 3.3ohm resistor across the pretensioner circuit. My question is which two wires? The resistors are sold on e-bay but without instructions. After this fix the airbags work OK so it is not a dangerous bodge
