Trouble is they write a really big story, and then they can't fit it all into one film.

Or rather they could, but who is going to sit in a cinema for 6 hours...

Personally I'd rather they have 2 films than try and cut the story down so it'll fit in one. It'd be even harder to work out what the fark is going on!

There was supposed to be a good year or so in between Matrix 2 and 3, but the Matrix 'Curse' caused injuries to the cast so that by the time the second one was finished the third was almost erady too. At least that's what I've been lead to believe.
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

I'm seeing it at 8pm. What about you?

They are showing it at the IMAX here, one of the blokes from work is going to that. I dont think I could see it there though, I suffer from motion sickness, and a 180 degrees screen, the thought makes me feel :yuck:

Seems i wasnt the only one disappointed with matrix 2. From these reports it looks like the thirdone is going to be even worse!

"anything short of the original film’s impact was going to be a disappointment and Revolutions, more so than Reloaded, comes up shorter than Frodo Baggins. Visually innovative effects have fallen by the wayside, replaced instead with yet more overblown, in-your-face cinematic fireworks as the audience struggles to find any sense in the plot or any empathy with the characters. Neo and Trinity’s romance is about as convincing as Charles and Di’s, while the talents of Monica Bellucci are once again criminally wasted as the story fails to tie up loose ends, or indeed satisfy in any way."

'The Matrix Revolutions is a triumph of incomprehensible mutterings which masquerade as dialogue, interspersed with dull special effects sequences that descend into a blur of computer-generated flickering. If the second film was a disappointment, the supposedly slam-bang finale is a crushing, mind-numbing bore.' Damon Smith, PA

'Best sink a couple of pints and turn up late, to "ooh" and "aah" over the big battle scene, which perks things up somewhat, even if you do start to root for the machines.' BBC 2/5

'At the risk of understatement, The Matrix Revolutions sucks. It's not that the final chapter in the trilogy doesn't have stunts and visual wizardry to drop your jaw. It's just that it all adds up to a supersize nothing.' Rolling Stone 2/5

If you thought Reloaded was OK or even good (as I did), you're going to be merely disappointed by Revolutions. But if you didn't like Reloaded, God help you when you storm out of the theater and try to get your money back. You deserve it. Filmcritic.com

Well after the pile of poo which was 'reloaded' there is no way i am going to actually PAY out good money to see the third one. might borrow it if one of my mates gets it on dvd - that way i can just turn it off if its as crap as the second

Gopod point charlie, exept I dont think they needed to cut a 6 hour story into two bits. In fact, i feel more the case that they have STRETCHED a 45 minute story into nearly 5 hours!

yeah got same thing happen to me, people just dont know how distracting it is to watch a movie in the dark with a little twinkling light in the corner of your eye.

The fx and actions in 3 is quite awsome especially the dragronballZ kinda stuff, but i still like 1 more, its the whole revelation of "what is the matrix?" is whats pull me to the story, to me 2 & 3 is just there for completeness and Neo taking his ability from the matrix world to the real world just doesnt cut it. Would like to see the prequel, how it all begin... how they harvest the humans etc etc...
