I'm sure this has been answered before on the forum but has anyone managed to get new pads fitted by Pug free of charge?

Cos mine are serious squeakers, well embarrassing!
Yes, theyve changed mine twice, 2nd time with anti squeel pads.
Always free of charge, car done 11k now.

Do a search on 'squeaky pads' and you'll get the whole thread. Bottom line , it appears to be down to your dealers willingness to be helpful. Mine were done free after 6000 miles and 14 months (but I had to wait ages for the pads to be 'in stock'). Done 2000 miles on the new pads and no squeaks so far. BTW the delaer told me that the 'squeaky' pads were made to a formula that is 'too hard' creating fine dust when they wear and hence causing the squeak. Dunno if this is true, but if so it would tend to make them last longer, and also tend to wear the disks out more than the pads!
