If the "sunroof" is the "skywindow" then its well worth the extra. I didn't get one as I hadn't seen one and thought £650 was a tad expensive however its a full length electric glass louvered roof (very clever).

Still think I would have preferred the semi auto to a manual though on that engine.

PS Springs ordered and date booked for the 206cc lowering :)

Hi all,

Just to say that I've just picked up my lowered car. Looks great and drives slightly better than before (car feels less nervous).

Unlike most other lowered cars I've had though the ride hasn't seemed to suffer. There's no increase in rattles (yet!!) and no crashing on the ride :)

I went for Bilsteins and adjustment of the existing torsion bar. Allegedly only -30mm drop but looks like more.

Will get some photee's posted once i) the front has had time to settle down (probably still another 5mm yet) and ii) I can find my digital camera :D

PS No increase in insurance either which was an unexpected bonus. They didn't charge for the alloys or exhaust either (I'd assumed as they were supplied on the car, but it seems not) :)

Cheers

Hi,

Mine was going to be supplied and fitted by the local Peugeot monkeys but they were planning to sub-contract to a local tuning firm (MSM who do do a lot of the well known cars in "Max Revs Fast Power Car!!" magazine) who I already knew from my Mazda days so I ended up dealing direct with them.

Not sure how they do it but all thats been done on mine is the torsion bar at the rear.

It looks nice and rides well now though.

Choice comes down to whether your prepared to lose your warranty.

Did you lose your warranty when you went through the dealer then?

Have just seen the pics you posted of your lowered cc, didn't realise that 35mm would make that much difference, looks much better!

Warranty is effected yes.

However anything after 12 months will be classed as wear and tear anyway under normal warranty by dealers so not losing much really. As mentioned ealrier all uk dealers have a standard sheet from Peugeot UK and it covers what is warranty work and what will be deamed fair wear and tear. Brakes, suspension, clutch etc. all fall into the latter after not very long.

They did say that they would try and help and if clearly not caused by the new parts they would try and get a warranty repair through if needed. Not sure all dealers would do that though :)

Cheers

Super - thank you

Are most garages competent of a torsion bar adjustment or does it need to be done by a specialist/peugeot garage?
