pug models and v5 what car do I actually have????

Hi,

This is a thick question I know, but can anyone tell me if on my v5 it would say se if my car model was a se? I bought a black 2litre SE pug 206cc from a garage and I read that they have a computer on them that lets you know how many miles you still have on the petrol in the car/ Yet nowhere on mine can I find that and today my v5 arrived and under model type it just has 206cc so does that mean the garage shitted on me or would the v5 not say what model it was. I was always under the impre4ssion they do say accurately else how would people like me know what type of car they had.

Also I can't get my windscreen wipers to come on automatically in the rain (they do have the large thing on the otutside of the car on the wiper) and I heard the se model also has automatic light come on when it gets dark yet again cant find anything that makes mine do that.

Please help.

I have an SE but it does not say it anywhere on the car, It does not have a computer in it, I think that only comes with the Alure version, check the end of the storks it will say auto, turn the end of the stork and it will give you the automatic wipers and lights

Hi Dee, Thanks for that. I was meaning on the V5 ( Log Book) saying whether or not it has the model as a SE as mine doesn't. On my wipers stalk it doesn't say auto it just has the typical o 1 2 etc etc could it be because mine is too old? a 51 plate? Although I don't see how or why I should have the big box on one of my actual wipers if it doesn't work. I think I am either being thick or someone has fiddled wi my car before I bought it.

That is another reason why a north east meet would be good so owners can get together to discuss probs lol

I don't think the "big box" as you put it has anything to do with the wipers being automatic or not. My daughters 1.4 S Hatch has the same and she hasn't got auto wipers. Probably weren't on the spec 6 years ago.

Hi

I have a 2Litre SE on an 02 plate and no it doesnt say it on the V5 logbook anywhere.
The wiper stalk end is the computer, a button you press in and the display screen where the date and temp is, the display changes with each push- mileage, consumption etc etc.
Mine has auto wipers and lights and on both stalks (wipers and indicator/lights) there is the option to move to automatic or manual.

Thanks for that. Guess I am just unlucky then, cos mine at the end of the wiper stalk has the button but it doesn't press in. So mine must be too old damn I like toys in cars hee hee:D Thanks Marmite though:)
