Guess it's a good job things are warming up, but this afternoon had the climate control set to 23 degrees or so and the heater air turned cold. The fan continued running and the water temperature gauge was within normal limits. I got where I was going but when I got into the car to come home tonight, again the heater output was cold, it was 7 degrees outside. There seems to be plenty of water in the cooling system, the control panel works as expected and everything can be selected as normal, just no hot air!
Felt the rad hoses on getting home, again these were as hot as expected.
Anyone got any thoughts on what could be causing this?

There isn't any fluff blocking the hole and down as far as the fan looks fine. I'll try and get the glove box out going behind the fan to make sure that's clear too.
Many thanks for your help. I'm hoping it's that rather than a failure of the heater matrix or something. The temp gauge shows around 90 degrees and there's plenty of coolant in (if anything, too much coolant after the last service).
