Hi all,

thanks for looking.

My 206cc is being delievered next month and I am already considering adding a few extra things to it.

I have seen a few popular Chrome parts on eBay that you stick onto the car (they come with 3M tape on the back)

I wanted to ask if the 3M tape can damage the paintwork if some kid in the street decides to pull it off for fun?

How durable would the parts be and has anybody put them on their car?

Some of the parts I am talking about are below for xample:

Please let me know your opinion and whether or not you have added these extras too.

Many, many thanks in advance.

dont go for the chrome on the outside, very tacky. I would get colour coded instead.

Hi and thanks for the advice.

I don't think it would be tacky at all because I hate tacky!

Have a look at the guys car below and tell me that is tacky!! =) Nooooo way!!

The various chrome detail he has added to the 206cc is essentially what I want to do to mine.

Looks absolutely fantastic. :hyper:

You need to do more than just a wee bit of chrome though.

The car you show is superb, it is a fine line though, too much and you could waste it.

Good thing about modding is it is personal taste, if you want it then go for it.

Chroming the outside seems to be very popular with modern cars nowadays... the new Astra does it well.

I've seen the chromed 206 in the flesh and to be honest its not too bad really.

I would go for it as someone mentioned earlier "personal taste," I particularly like the door handles as I was looking at them some time ago & it also seems to be a reasonable price:exclaim:

I also think it depends on the colour of your car. Personally, I say Black and chrome are the perfect match. I'm not sure i would have put the chrome inside and out if the car wasn't black. My new car is silver so i'm not going to put any chrome on that!

This is a sad day, they are coming to collect the car and will be here in an hour....:-(

Yeah mines black. I've sprayed the console and chromed the vents, looks pretty good!
