Hi,

Got my new 206 cc in August and now have a problem fixing a flat tyre.

Basically the car never came with the wheel locking nut and it would seem that unless I have the security number, its not possible to order a new one!

My local Peugeot dealers are not being very helpful - does anyone know who might hold a central record of these numbers?

:(

There are companies and a lot of tyre garages who would probably be able to get these off. Iknow someone in work who bought a Rover, loast the locking wheel nut key and took it to a tyre garage and they took it off for nothing. She said she played the dumb girl game.(You say that to a girl and it's sexist, fine when they want it though)

Thanks alot,

To get 2 replies so quickly is great. I did try quick-fit and they were not able to help. However, I shall now try an actual tyre garage (fingers crossed).

Amazing - I really think this stuff should be recorded centrally and am really narked that peugeot just were not keen on helping.

:love-thx:

if you or someone you know is in the AA they have a special tool for taking off locking nuts, should be able to sort you out :)

if no luck with then goto www.350z-uk.com and search for locking nuts or similar, also search for username chesterfield as he got the nuts removed for only £20 but can't remember where from :(

Thanks very much. I have now got the problem fixed at a personal cost of £60, the dealer agreed to go halves on the cost.

Not a bad result, at least the dealers are propably more likely to get them off with no damage at all to the wheels. Glad it's all ok now.
