EMS Light

Hi guys n gals.

Wee bit of a problem.

My EMS Light came on the other day but it comes and goes.

Sometimes when i start my cc at any time the engine shakes quite a bit.

This only happens sometimes. Im thinking maybe its misfiring or something but only sometimes.

Has any of you had this problem and if so what was it.

I refuse to take it in to the dealer just yet as they will hit me with the big bill.

When it runs fine it runs like a dream.

i heard there is faults with some of the ecu's and there is another upgraded one avaliable. Could this be the problem.

All help appreciated.

I've had a similar problem with the Corsa that we run, it only happens when we've filled it up with supermarket petrol.

Never happens when we use Shell, Texaco, BP or Total.

I'll never use supermarket petrol again if I can help it. I certainly won't use it in our 206cc or my Merc.

Mine does the same, about 30 mins ago actually!

It was very lumpy when i first started it then the engine light started flashing. I switched off the car and restarted it, the engine was then running fine but the engine light was still flashing!

Am i right in thinking that this is comman and i shouldnt worry that i am going to break down?

How can i stop the Engine light flashing?
