after how many kilometres/miles do I have to change the 'thing' that keeps the motor rolling ( when it breaks while the motor is turned on the motor is kaputt )
In holland its called the distributionbelt. I think after 120,000 kilometres, right?

Hello David,
From your description I think you mean what is known as the timing belt, or cam belt, here in the UK.
The recommendation I have seen generally for Peugeots is 60,000 miles or every 5 years whichever is the sooner.
If you wait until 120,000 kms you are risking disaster! 96,000 kms maximum, or immediately if the car is 5 years old or more.

yes, that's the one. Current mileage is 109,000 and 4 years old.
I will call the dealer later this week, lol.
