I was planning to buy a 1.6 CC automatic, in few days . but i got alot of people telling me that it has alot of defects from the factory. and all my friends that had it also suffered and never adviced me to have it.
the thing that i live in the Middle East, and in here if the car was not prepared only for here . it won't last. the heat will ruin it.
well i dont have experiance in cars , but i was over here for a while and i was reading about the CC problems and all .. i am getting really annoyed , this is my dream car and i was thinking it is coming true.
please all of you , would you tell me the truth ,and advise if it is a real nice car that wouldn't bother me from 1st month or it is gonna be a headach?
You may be lucky and get a good car but not only with the 206CC but with all cars that is no guarantee.
Peugeots do have reliability problems as a general rule, the 307 being the worst.
The biggest problem with the 206CC is the roof. Problems are not as common as people would make you think but if there is a problem then you need to make sure you can get specialist help as it is a complex piece of equipment.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

My CC didn't really case me many problems. The only issue I had was with a leak, but the seals were replaced under warranty and the problem sorted out. Derek's quite right - you can be lucky or unlucky regardless of what car you buy. I have no regrets having owned a 206CC and had three wonderful years of driving.
I'd back that up - 4 years 6 months and no roof problems, no leaks and the only time it's been in the dealers is for recalls in the early days and servicing. Go for it - it's the kind of car thats great in the winter and FANTASTIC in the spring and summer.
Treat the car with care and you shouldnt have a problem. My key rules for putting the roof up and down are.
Have the engine running when operating the roof.
Dont operate it if it is <5 degrees C. (Shouldnt be a problem where you live.
Dont show off. Not being a kill joy, but dont be one of these people who put the roof up and down just to show there friends. Working the roof too much in a short space of time is gonna kill the battery.
Keep all the rubber seals clean on the roof.
I have had my car for 4.5 years and have not had an issue.
My only concern for you is that I have noticed in my car that on very hot days that the car seems to loose some BHP. I also would'nt go for leather unless you get that lamba white/ grey colour. :redhot:

Just to add onto that - if you take the car to the zoo, don't let the f****** monkeys anywhere near the roof if there is nothing wrong with it in the first place.
Motorway Cars Bathgate broke mine for no reason and took nearly 3 months to fix it.
