When I get into the car, start it up then go to open the roof I can't as the boot blind is folded away, I have to then turn the car off take the key out of the ignition, unlock the boot to get in. This is a real pain. I have a 03 reg 206cc and was after any ideas how to make the boot unlock with the central locking. I would need step by step instruction if any one can help.

Has any one got a good English version as I don't believe that I am the only person to ever want to do this. Please help.

I have just made my boot unlock and lock with the central locking.
Take the tailgate liner off, the near side boot liner and feed a wire through to the back seat. On the locking motor there are 2 wires, disconnect the Yellow/Green and fit the new wire to this terminal all, run the cable with the factory fitted cables and secure as you go along. Then continue to run the cable from the back seat to the BSI unit (Under driverside dash behind the removable panel below the steering wheel)On the BSI is a large GREY plug, with a scotch lock around cable 15 (MAUVE) connect the new cable from the Tailgate.
Thats it, took about 3 hours to do, running the cable mostly.
The car is a 03 Reg 206cc, the German instuction above this message will give you the photos and a better explantion of running the cable.
This is the best mod I have done to this car.

Does that work ok ? I've just had the boot lining to bits, and the earths from the numberplate/brake bulbs, boot release and a roof actuating ram are all bonded together and return from the boot as a single earth connection.you dont have to go up to the lock in the trunk, easiest is to disconnect the earth wire at the left in de boot and extend this wire
http://www.407forum.nl/~peugeotdata/dat ... epslot.htm
Then when you follow the loom around the nearside boot, there are other earths which are also bonded together, which then bolt as you've said below the nearside rear lamp cluster. If you feel the loom you can find lumps where the crimps are which bond all the earths together.
It just strikes me all the current which would normally be sunk by the earth strap near the rear lights (which may or may not be the return from the hydraulic rams also) is now being carried by the BSI through a relay or switch which might not have been intended to carry such a load.
It probably also means (not that it's a problem) that if you leave the lights on and lock/unlock the doors, the numberplate light must go out
They've definitely not made the job of restoring this easy but it's probably safer to run a separate wire. I looked at it but it looks to be a right pain

I found that connector like you said, but on mine there are several earths combined, and on that connector I think four of the 8 pins are all showing continuity and are at ground potential, being combined in the boot in the top pictureyou have to cut the wire at the junction connector
so to be save you can better for now run a new wire from actuator
I guess it's an attempt to save wire.
It's a real shame and I'm sorry it doesn't work as it would have been such an easy solution instead of threading the cable through all those tight corners from the boot lid to the boot!
The only other thing I can think of to do it easier would be a changeover switch on the mechanism itself, reversing the polarity depending on the position of the actuator, so when it's fully out it trips a switch so the next application sends it in the other direction.

hi i have edited the article; can you check if its the same connector you found?
if so the diagrams are still wrong
(sorry i did one of this modification a long time ago, and i thought it was like i wrote in the article)
so connector ICK0; its a 9pin black connector and the earthwire is at pin 7
nexted chance i got i ll look into it at a 206cc en make pics.

Crikey your artwork is superb!!!hi i have edited the article; can you check if its the same connector you found?
Yes that's the white connector, there's a small clip underneath it and you release a catch and slide the whole connector down before unplugging it (makes it easier). There are eight pins fitted to the 9 pin connector (it's square with three pins along each side). Four pins have continuity to each other and to the yellow/green wire when disconnected from the boot actuator. I suppose you would have to disconnect all of these grounds and connect to the BSI. It still leaves some of the boot mechanics grounded through the BSI but not as much as the large lug in the boot would.
The connector is in the background of this picture and you can see the other two in your diagram.

Like I said earlier, they haven't made it easy
Why they didn't just run the wire down the front, connect it up, and disable the boot in software so it could be easily re-activated. I suppose I can see if you're turning out loads of wiring looms it makes sense to limit the amount of wire (like the mux system was intended to do also) and it must save them some money.
