This may be a daft question, I dont know, but im sure theres a perfectly logical explanation.
You want to unlock the car, so you zap it with the key, the doors unlock. No problem with that, but whhhyyyy doesnt it unlock the boot? Its really annoying!!!

Apparently it is cos the boot is separated from the car (ie not a hatch back) so if you were in traffic then in theory someone could just open your boot and help thereselves and you may not even know about it! So it is safer to keep it locked!
Just what I heard!

Actually it's not, cos without that little plastic retracting bit behind the rear seats there would be a hole connecting passenger compartment to boot.Apparently it is cos the boot is separated from the car
Anyway, all the saloon cars I've had have unlocked the boot with the doors, so I don't see the reason as valid.

In that case there are no saloons with a separate boot, as you can always remove the back seats

Not always true either. For example, some Subaru Imprezas (not the one I had) had a solid rear bulkhead. I think the RB5 was one, and some of the Jap-spec ones (Type R and RA).In that case there are no saloons with a separate boot, as you can always remove the back seats

In that case I completely withdraw my previous comment about saloon cars, clearly I am 100% wrong....and some people have way to much time on their hands :rolleyes:Not always true either. (Very much hoping the sarcasm comes clear in this text)
