Thinking of trading in my 1.6 engine version for the new HDI diesel 206cc which has been launced recently. (the latest Allure diesel looks nicely loaded with goodies (chrome hoops/visability pack etc as standard).
Has anyone got any experience of the diesel 206cc?
cheers
Flo

No personal experience but reports on the engine are very favourable.
When I was looking at the 307CC I was hoping they would bring that out in a diesel like Renault did with the Megane CC but it never happened.

Bit slow on the uptake here!
Yup I had a 206 HDi, 2.0l 90bhp diesel. The engine in the CC is the 1.6l 110bhp diesel with "overdrive" or something.
I loved my diesel, mainly because the majority of my driving was urban 50mph around Leeds, and the torque you get with a diesel is great for hanging round roundabouts and such.
I've taken a normal 206 GTi HDi which has the same engine as the CC and it's a great engine especially with the torque. Not sure what it'll be like in a CC as it's a heavier car but if I were looking to get a CC again I'd definitely give the diesel a decent test drive.
Plus of course diesels are wonderfully tunable - got my 90bhp up to around 110bhp with a 200 quid tuning box. I would be surprised if the 110bhp couldn't be pushed up to 130bhp easily enough!

I filled it up last Thursday when I collected it and drove 420 miles, with 100 miles still showing in the tank. The MPG showed 51.4 which has got to be better than the 29.7-31mpg I was experiencing with my petrol CC. Definately wont be changing back to petrol..... would certainly recommend it!!!
