Hi peeps, its getting very close to that time when my car is painted so I have done a photoshop of the car as it should look (other than the interior, mirrors and spoiler as not that experienced at it yet) so i am after your opinions on the overall look and colour.

How long has your CC been off the road while you totally rebuild it??

What's wrong with silver? All the other show cars are highlighter colours, be original and stick with silver! Less chance of a colour clash!!

Hmm. that seems very same as so called tuning-trend nowdays :|
So it's ok if you like it ;) personally I don't like "race-seats" in CC :yuck: so I would forget those Sparcos but it's your car 8)

Its been off the road for 2 years now. no way silver is an everyday colour car, every single car manufacturer in the world has silver. i want something different

But what do you class as the soo called tuning trend...bodykit, paint colours??

lol you must have missed this quote above the picture. " I have done a photoshop of the car as it should look (other than the interior, mirrors and spoiler as not that experienced at it yet)" The interior, mirrors ans spoiler are not to the finished spec just used these as an example. The seats which are going in a fully custom made and are not for sale on the market anywhere in the world.

Yep, missed that quote above the picture
I mean tuning trend with bodykit and painting...reminds me fastandfurious. Is it bad or is it good
But I kind of like that colour...I seen it many french-tuning cars (in French) on magazines.

My 2p's worth. The bodywork/kit looks great, but I would say that most cars moddified to the extent you have done tend to go for some bright- trick paint. IMO it kind of detracts from all the hard work and skill put in to fitting the kit. If it were me I would choose something realy dull like the Audi TT primer grey colours specificly if you have any chrome parts it will set it off a treat. See the Latest EVO mag and look at the Morgan coupe colour. Unlike TVR's bright colours Morgan have opted for something very tastfull where people will appreciate the bodywork and shape and not the colour.

I expect everyone to disagree with grey. At the end of the day it should look good no matter what colour you have it sprayed.

If it was me I would go for a perlescent (spelt wrong) paint job instead of a solid colour. Might as well get a spanking paint job if you have been waiting 2 years - and I've not seen any other CC's in perlescent

Pearlescent white is quite nice (kind of mother-of-pearl colour). It sounds crap, but it looks pretty good IMHO. This is the best photo I could find, but it really does look better in the flesh:

Painting a CC in such a bright colour makes it look very gay indeed.

cheers for the comments and suggestions, im not having any pears, flakes etc as its been soo rinced in the uk its unreal. As for dull colours they dont do a bodykit any good as the lines and smoothness become camoflarged as even light doesnt help. with a bright pastel colour the contours lines etc show up without effort even at night, painting in a dull colour will hide all the hard work.

Teddy206gti....lmfao I guess one of the worlds most modified 206cc painted in pastel blue looks gay..I'd say it looks far from being gay whatever colour it was painted as it cant look gay its too mean

Why ask us if you've already made up your mind?

PS: I think your choice is OK, but it reminds me of a BMW M3 (I think it's "Estoril Blue" or "Petrol Blue"). Have you considered orange? Image
