I have an intermittent problem with a roof that won't go down. I only noticed that it wouldn't go down around January 05 so it mayhave been inoperative since around october! I do all the right stuff (Please don't send replies about tthe boot blind etc etc) but i never get the confirmation bleep. However It did does work on the very odd occasion........and here's the odd bit. My boot light works intermittently works and this seems to go hand in hand with the roof prob. When the boot light works I know that the roof will work every time and when the boot lights not working , sure enough the roof won't work either. One thing that I have noticed is that when either the drivers seat is lid back roughly or when the drivers door is slammed shut (not too hard!) the boot light flickers briefly.
I have seen other members talking about the drivers pillar microswitch. Can anyone expand on this for me
I have also noticed that there are many requests from members looking for wiring diagrams for the CC but no one actually says whether they can actually be found on the net at all. Can anyone help on this.
Kind Regards

From what you have said I would think it was a loose plug. The electrics for the roof. and boot light may be on the same multi-plug. I wouldn't have thought it was anything to do with the doors as the roof operates even when the doors are open.

yep wiring runs down the ns.behind the carpet in the boot(ns)there is a ecu with a yellow connector.every thing regarding the roof operation comes through that ecu.
what wiring diagram do you want? u want to know if your boot light is causing this fault.
id have to say prob not,can tell u more tmrrw when ive looked up the wiring.

My main question is whether there are any main connectors that supply power to circuits that include both the boot light and the roof. It seems such a strange coincidence that 100% of the time the roof operation only works when the boot light works. I was going to try and find any loose plugs/sockets.
Also I'd like to check the microswitches but I'm not sure where they are and I'd rather know straight off than go digging blindly. For instance. Can anyone tell me where the courtest light switches are in the doors.
I presume the boot switch is located in the lower part of the boot catch.
Last night I got a call from another CC'er who says that she gets the 'OK' bleep when she's undone the latches ( & boot blinds in correct place too etc etc) but when she then pulls the roof switch she then gets a lower pitch tone instead of a lowering roof.
Does this lower pitch tone denote a general fault of a specific one?
Kind Regards
