Ive got the new car bug again (happens every 2.4 years!),
Im thinking of the 307cc ....

a few 206cc owners looked at the 307cc but didn't like the slow pace of it but did say it was better built if that helps

That's coming from a guy who had a bad egg peugeot... a lot of peeps i know have a great time with their 307cc's and to be honest, any car has it's faults.

Have fun with the summer coming and go get that baby

I guess there is only one way to find out .. and try it ....
I notice there is a 1.6 version now .... the engine i have now, but
im concerned it might be a little slugish in a (I assume) much heavier car.

To be honest, ive done some google searchs (although brief!) and didnt find anything negative.

If you do a search on 206cc reviews there are plenty of ppl quick to slate it for all number of reasons, but we still go out and buy one!

Go for it - if its what you want, then as long as YOU are happy with it who cares what other ppl think

As a greedy person who lives in a household with both a 206c and a 307cc I say go for it!!!!! buy a 3 it is WOW you will not be disappointed (unless you buy the smallest engine which isnt good enough to pull the car

)
It's bigger, better built, more solid on the road, better acceleration, nicer steering, comfy driving position, gets more looks

bigger boot, can easily have passengers without complaints of being squashed.

Go on buy one

It took us 3 months to convince ourselves we were allowed to buy one, even tho our consciences said it was too norty!

I'll have to correct and you say that's coming from a guy who had a rejected 206CC and a replacement that had more problems in it's life that I could mention.

Also note that I have bought 7 brand new Peugeots between August 1994 and March 2002 - I would say it's experience of the brand in a big way.

Ok, thats coming from a guy whos had two bad egg 206cc's... all the more reason for a biased review against them.

Andrew, for the few faults that my car has had, the service from my dealer has been spot on and would thoroughly recommend Peugeot

From what i've heard i wouldn't bother with the 1.6 as its way too small, the 180 is only a second quicker to 60 than the 138 so would go with the 138

manual of course

As I have already said, I wouldn't buy a 307CC - was very close but changed my mind late on.

If you do get one then make sure it's an import with the average Â£3-3.5k saving unless a dealer will give you a good price. The UK prices just aren't worth it.

When I looked at what the 307CC would cost including mods then it was just too big a risk plus we are short on a dealer you can trust around here - they are all crap.

My view against Pug's are quality issues, dealer back up and the lack of interest from Peugeot when things go wrong. Such a manufacturer doesn't deserve customers.

As for looks the 307CC looks good but the 206CC looks better. I would only have got the 307CC with the works by Ecosse as it isn't nice enough standard.

I agree, don't even think about the 1.6

I drove the 2.0 sports and was disappointed with that. Once you got up and runningit was fine but I found first gear (manual) to be short and pickup pretty average. Once you went into 2nd it was fine, but for my money I would have been frustrated with the off the mark performance.

Each to their own, it's a nicely built and good looking car with more room than a 206cc

roof designed by mecedes
2 down sides
1 some models the carpets were made to small,so if you have rubber mats in car,tend to pull carpets out of sill trims...very tacky
2 rear parcel shelf when roof up buzzes and bangs like a mofo.drives u absoultly ape
3 cables in the roof under lining constantly bang against the roof,sounding like a mouse trapped in there
oh thats 3 soz.
besides that one of peugeots betta cars.

think the 206cc i could of made a better job of making one in my back yard.
this is just my opinoin cause i know you all love ypur mototrs

engine and roof reliabilitly are very poor,always a 50/50 chance they aint gonna work
they rattle like mad(especially roof seals)
the interior mirrior gives you a fit when you drive cause they buzz to much
doors and windows never align properly cause the chassis not ridgid enough
always lots of electrical problems cause of rush fitment of multiplexed systems
i could go on.they are not my cup of tea,but for the relitivly cheap price you pay for one,then yes they can be alot of fun
hate it when people compare them to slks or tts
like comparing your caravan to a castle,just silly
not to offend anyone

just my opinion and cause i wrx on them on a daily basis
