Hiya all-

Still investigating probably buying a 206cc, a couple of questions hopefully someone can answer.

The new CC's (1.6l) come with steel wheels (15") with hubcaps. Not good, so need to work out what to do for alloys. Would prefer peugeot alloys, have seen some that are ok. Dealer said about $1100 cost for 4x15" pug alloys, I think these ones are an accessory for the 307. I'm not adverse to 16" either, so suggestions welcomed! Anyone looked into costs for a new set of pug wheels for their car?

I heard the offset on the 206cc wheels makes it difficult to find aftermarket alloys, has anyone looked into it? Any ideas of costs for a simple set?

Also, do you guys service your pug 6 or 12 monthly? Apparently you only HAVE to service it 12 monthly to retain warranty but 6 monthly "check-ups" are advised. Comments?

Oh, and I know some of you folks have windblockers- idea on the price?

Thanks to anyone who has had the patience to wade through this and respond! :D

Lise,

Where shall i start !!??

Firstly the wheels. Yes, the steel wheels and hubcups aint the best look. I know of a Sydney CC'er that should have a new spare set of 15" pug alloys that could be up for offer. Also, if you fancy a set of chrome wheels, another member also has a set of 17" chromes up for sale. And yes, due to the offset, its a bit harder trying to find aftermarket wheels, but if you want to try Tempe Tyres ... they are pretty helpful. I guess it depends on how much you are willing to spend and what size wheel you are after ...... but i think you could get a set of 17"s for a reasonable price .... whether they be new ones or near new.

I am not sure 'bout the other guys ..... but i get mine serviced 6-monthly. I guess its just a habit from previous cars.

Am not too sure 'bout the price of the windstop ..... but hopefully other members can help you out with this question.

Hope this helps in some way.

Hi Lise

Do you like chrome wheels? I'm offloading a set of 17" as Mathew mentioned for only $600. I had it on my car for about 6 months. You'll just need to get some tyres.

Hi Omak,
Thanks for your kind offer, however I don't know if those wheels are quite what I'm after, I just want my car to blend into a crowd, but they look lovely on your car! What are you changing to?

The wheels has been sitting in my garage for nearly 6 months. My CC is currently wearing the factory 17" wheels from the GTI 180.

Hi Ms Lise, welcome to the site. Looking forward to seeing a moonstone cc at our meets !

Definitely get the windstop. They work well. I can even light a ciggie one handed and ash doesn't blow all over the car like before. As for price, they're not cheap. About $800, I think.

As for servicing, I've been sending mine in every 10,000 which is roughly 3 times a year with the amount of driving I do.
Cheers,
Michael
