I've not had a good day.

Bought my beautiful second hand black Peugeot 206cc today. I'd test driven it, and seen everything in working order (more than once). Even when I got it today, the owner put the roof up in front of me with no hesitance or problems! I was sooooo happy this morning.

I went out for a drive, had the roof down and everything was just perfect. I came home and put the roof up...everything was smooth and fine.

My sister came round about an hour later, I took the roof down demostrating for her, that went fine. However, I put the roof back up and just at the end it stopped and alarmed at me. The roof is fully up on the body, however the boot lid remained in the upright position. It is now sitting down on the boot but is not fully locked down. Obviously I still can't use the button for the boot.

It is due for a service in about a month (definitely not missing it) however I really wasnt anticipating spending out on it immediately.

Help?? What can I do??? Any help will be very much appreciated (I Live in Jersey btw)

Thanks

bad news indeed but fixable :D

either consult your CC manual or download the manual from the downloads section on the left handside of this forum to put the roof/boot back manually.

you may need 2 people to help you put it back manually then it may need a trip to the dealers to reset it :(

don't worry it's nothing major,more than likely it's a sticky 50p microswitch :D

It cost me £200 to get my roof fixed at my local dealer and they said it was a micro switch - best sell it and buy a decent car.

Mine went last week and I am running about in my mates 1.2 Corsa until my new car arrives and it is about 100 times better than the 206 cc which really is a pile of junk.

I had a Corsa for about four years and, reliable as it was, give me the CC anytime - I LOVE IT.
