Hi all,
This is just a warning if any of you are with NRMA or are looking to insure with them. DON'T!
As some of you may already know, a knucklehead smashed into the side of my pug while it was parked. Of course they drove off without leaving a note.
So off I went to NRMA to file a claim. It turns out that they now have a policy in which you can no longer select the repairer of choice, but are instead forced to be assessed by them. NRMA then tell YOU where to go.
That means I cannot use the Peugeot recommended repairers, or in fact any of the ones in my area. I will be forced to travel 20km to a half-assed repairer who has never even seen a European car. I could kick up a stink and wait months with a smashed car, but it is NRMA policy and I doubt they will change it. Otherwise I pay thousands myself to go to a repairer of choice, but then what is the point of insurance?
I am leaving NRMA and I suggest you all should too!

Yeah i been told this too, And another thing... when i first got my 206cc peugeot guys tell me that some repairer is not aprove by peugeot and could void the warranty when your car repair by them, reason been that if they replace any part that isnt genuine peugeot then its void... body repair is fine though. If you are with a finance company call them first and tell then the situation, they will work it out with nrma, they dont take kindly to have their assets depreciate due to unapprove repairer.
