picked up our 04 plate 206cc at the beginning of july, after a few heavy downpours no leaks, great we thought, last weeks glorious sunshine roof down, fantastic. just had virtually two days of torrential rain and noticed that when you broke hard a few drops would shoot forward from where the drivers side roof fastener is , after further investigation found water on back seat, lower of back seat had water stains and rear carpet was wet through all on drivers side.what a bummer, the only consolation if any is its going in next week while we're in corfu. i thought the new ones were ok.

Its just down to luck.
I thought my car was going to be trouble free as it didn't leak but the roof now refuses to operate after a year and a half.
Dealer will be looking at this on Thursday.

I think it is just down to luck.
I got mine the same time as other people and their's has leaked and my hasn;'t (touch wood).
The goods news is I think their's are all leak free now.
Having said that it has been freaky weather and 2 of my mates of SLK's that have both leaked this week and at no other time.

This is the same that I've had and I don't consider it a leak. As you say when you open the doors there's nowhere for the water due to there being no gutter so on some occasions it goes into the seal and the finds its way out at the roof clips when you brake. I had mine looked at, they replaced the seals and haven't had a recurrence since.
Cheers

dont mean to go on but picked up car today after having leak fixed, (which appears to be sealing up with a sealent although receipt sats 2 new seals ) got home thought i'd give it the hose pipe test, first of all is testing with hose pipe out of order (i;e not blasting but just watering) anyway after hosing down, both sides had a trickle of water running down inside of window where roof joins at the front , this is before opening door, should this be accepted, then after a long enough spray equivelant to a heavy downpour the water appears to store up in the seal itself and builds up till it overflows down onto back seat panel. when i go back should i mention testing with a hose pipe or would they see this as extreme, personally i see no other way.
