tigra is nice but would never tempt me.

the aircon is only stated as free as it was supposed to be an option at £350 or £400. obviously vauxhall thought better as aircon being an option on a car at that price wouldn't be a good move.

as an auto express subscriber i look forward to seeing the review :D

I agree, I think it looks very funky and modern. Kind of looks a little bit like the Mr2 from the back.

Is the 2 tone roof standard? Looks a little odd, still a very nice car, will def be giving it a test drive when it is out! 8)
I can't remember the details exactly as I got the brochure at the Motor Show, but I think they are doing 4 models - 2 x 1.4 and 2 x 1.8. The 'sportier' of each 1.4 and 1.8 has the 2 tone roof which is standard, but you can have it without at point of order.

I like pics 4 & 5, wasn't there enough space for someone's handbag ;-)

To answer a previous post as to why they only wanted women to do the comparison..its because Vauxhall are aiming this at the female market.

Advert goes along the lines of male driver, female passenger. Stop and change seats, but female drives off without male. Punchline is along the lines of 'it has two seats...use them wisely!' (sorry guys)

sounds like everyone had a good time at the shoot as well - it's great when you see the members that this excellent site has and how they have taken part as a team for this quest and represented this site so well ;)

Oh dear...I've just followed a new Tigra (in silver) through town - roof down. I didn't think they were on the road until September?

It's a headturner from watching the reaction of those walking past it at the traffic lights. (Someone liked my alloys and told me so though :D )

And..erm...it was a woman driving too!

Yeah I went to look at one of the demo cars last night. I was told as they're pre-production models though no test drives are allowed - which was a bit disappointing :(

It is a good looking car though and I must admit I'm tempted to get one - just waiting to find out what they'll give me for my part ex first.

There'll be five models all together:

1.4/1.8
Standard/Sport (1.8 only avail. as Sport)
Air Con/No air con

Air Con models are £500 more (I think) but if you order before 30th September it's free.

The 17in alloys on the one I looked at were nice which'll set you back an extra £200.

The tigra I looked at was a darker blue than the one Alig and Vanda drove and it had the roof bar colour coded (which looks better). I took a couple of pics with my camera phone that'll I'll send to Lyndon although they aren't particularly good.

The roof latches/locks seemed more solid than the 206 but the roof seals looked pretty similar. The one thing that did worry me though was the electronic boot opening. It seemed a bit tempramental and I'm not sure how/if you could close it if the roof failed :?

The auto express review is out, the general gist of it is that the tigra rules and the 206CC sucks :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:

Have only scanned it briefly. Not got mine through the post yet.

Yes, it does seem biased at first glance and they don't seem have to used that many comments that were made. (But I need to read the whole article first before final opinion is formed!)
