Just had my drivers side mirror smashed to bits and was alarmed to find Puegeot want over £100 for a new one
I have found out that the CC one is different to standard 206 and is apparently only available from dealer.
Do any of you know where i can get one cheaper, have one to sell or know how to get a discount from dealer?
Hi the actual mirror is the same but the black plastic bit that fits to the door is different. You cannot change this either as the cables run through this and the plug is bigger than the hole in it so you can't just change it.Depending on what year car you have you might need the cable adaptor aswell which is another £20, which is a rip off cos they give you that FREE if you buy a standard 206 mirror.
I found that for some reason the normal 206 mirror is cheaper than a CC (even the heated ones) but the black plasic triangle bit is different. However if you are technically able, and the black plastic triangular "arm" that attaches to the car is not damaged you can swap them. The mirror glass can be removed by pulling on a clip that you can just see if the morror is all the way left or right. Then you can get into the mirror and disassemble enough to remove the "mirror body" from the plastic triangle that attaches to the car. Then attach the body to the CCs plastic triangle.
Took me 10 minutes and saved me £35 last year when someone hit my mirror overnight.
