the bsi (builtin systems interface)is the heart of your electronics in your car.it controls loads of things.if they gonna plug into a laptop it means they are going to use the new peugeout diagnostics system, which is called planet.
.
no you cant disarm it yourself
.
the seat belt buzzer is under customer options of the bsi.just needs to be reconfigured to inactive.
hope that helps.

My MY03 CC got a software upgrade and now it has the seatbelt reminder as well. A discussion on an Australian 206 GTi site regarding this function states if you can put up with the reminder for a few minutes, it will stop!!
Personally, the seat belt isn't that bad.
They've also changed the software for the "follow me home" headlights so now you have to flash the high beam once to activitate it rather than the headlights just staying on after you turn off the car. The good thing about this is the headlights will now stay on for the full preset time period (about 30 secs) even after you've locked the car. Previously the headlights turns off as soon as you lock the car.

putting the seat belt on should be the simple answer no matter how short the journey is.
the first accident i had nearly 12 years go was serious and the seat belt saved me from serious injury - it isn't hard to put it on.

Some cars have an alert for both front seats. They have an "arse sensor" (fortunately not a rectal probe) in the passenger seat to determine if it's occupied.Domyates, only drivers belt. Would definately be stupid if i had to strap in the passenger belt if noone was even sitting there!

Isn't it a shame they don't give you a list of the changes instead of you having to discover them? Then perhaps a button combination which reveals what version you're running, so you could make the decision whether to 'upgrade' or not"follow me home" headlights so now you have to flash the high beam once to activitate
I saw the claims about "follow me home headlights" and never figured how it worked on my 03 2.0SE as the manual just says the lights should stay on if it's dark enough for 30 seconds. But now you have it in a nutshell! Tried it tonight and it works fine. Flash the headlights and the lights stay on for 30 seconds...
